but it would be good to know what really is going on with the finances, as we are operating as if we are in real danger of going into administration, or rather, striving every last penny to stay out of it. I can't help feeling that it is connected with whatever is going on in PC's life. Hill is trying to get in good players for minimal money and anyone of any value is leaving at a lot less than face value.

Some clues, but what do they mean?
    1. When Hill was saying he was feeling 'lonely' does he mean that he has not got much support from the board, rather than the fans? Is that because of the club's financial situation? No one seems willing to speak up from the board.
    2. When Hill states that his problem is about motivating the players, he is not wrong. Before the Leeds away game, he pointed out what he was achieving with low-budget players, compared with Leeds. His task has been to try to get league one players to step up and 'punch above their weight' and has achieved this on occasions and with some of the players. This also looks to be the reason he has been upbeat after some fairly less than distinguished performances. Hill's only hope is that he can motivate this squad of players to believe that they can get either one more win, or a couple of draws this season. Looking at some recent performances, this is not an easy task, but it is all he can do.

We may survive, but will need at least a point at home to Cardiff and one away at Hull. The Bristol City game (I will be there) looks to be a right old six-pointer, but I have us down to lose 3-0 with Pitman and Stead doing us.

The most positive comment is this: look how good it was so recently with just Butterfield, Vaz Te and Drinkwater making the team tick. It should be possible to reverse things to the way they were, but we will need replacements as good as the three amigos who have left. Now THAT it what will decide how the club moves on next season. We have to hope that any Butterfield cash is available, or guaranteed in time for us to bring in at least three quality players.

Although it seems hard to contemplate, we have had tougher times than these. Keep the faith and keeping going up hill!!!!!

The restrictions Hill has to work under are well documented. However, he still needs to play to his team's/squad strenghths and I don't believe he is doing that.

I agree to an extent, but you have to question some of his signings money or not.
