Took today as I have for months. Inevitable one day. 26/04/14 is that day, unfortunate that years on DWs side has moved outta this division again on a significant anniversary! Hey ho! Chin up! If we can regroup, man up, reorganise etc etc and be a top 6-8 team challenging for a play off spot and flirt with relegation. Win more than lose. Play some good footy, then I'll be happy. It's a few years since I lost the spark going to Oakwell, gone due to habit than anything else really. Let's embrace this inevitable relegation. Regroup and kick on. You never know, handled correctly it could be the best thing to happen to us in many a year?!? We'll see.....
I'm with you, as I've said before, I don't buy into this whole relegation is the end of the universe. Things are very different to when we last went down. I take heart and positives from a lot of clubs who've gone down, cleared out their dead wood and embraced a fresh start and clean slate resulting in the inevitable promotion and Premiership football in a few years Me and my dad renewing tomorrow Come on yooooooooooooo reds
i agree. been ambivalent towards the whole thing for weeks. it's been an absolute shocker of a season, and i'm struggling to find any highlights. can't even be ar$ed to go to the last game.
I just feel numb. We didn't deserve to stay up, and we had two near-misses anyway the last couple of seasons. Hopefully the financial reaper will come along and take a few clubs to liquidation heaven. That, and a re-think of strategy at Oakwell, and we'll be back at this level again in three or four years.
Onwards and upwards hopefully. Clear out required player wise. Keep DW, get a buzz around the club and especially on match days. Sheff U, Preston, MK, Brizzle apart were gonna be a bigger fish in a smaller pond. Correct management will be key at all levels from the club. This might be an opportunity that we can't let slip, it could turn out to be a bigger one than relegation
