Because lets be honest his striker buys are woeful to say the least! And that performance today backs up my suggestion! It was utter shocking, we should have had them killed off before they even scored; but our clueless manager couldn't pick a striker out of a picket line! Rigters may go back to Blackburn as far as i'm concenerd, that miss in the first half was atrocious to be quite truthful. We might aswell pay someone to take Kay off our hands because i don't think any team will bid for him. If we are to spend this window we've got to get rid of all the dead wood first, and in my eyes we need a left back, attacking midfielder and 2 strikers, and maybe even a left winger. I feel that is whats needed if we are to get a mid-table finish. I know this will winde a few people up but this is my own opinion and i guess thats what football is all about. After seeing 9 away games this season and being a season ticket holder i am getting highly frustrated with Davey and his "tactics", they were there for the taking today and everyone knows that; even with a few injuries. We seem to be taking 1 step forward, 2 steps back a lately.
Trouble is... I reckon he's here for the duration now. The only way he's going will be if we'tr in the bottom 3 with 8 games to go. He's the only bloke who's going to get to play with PC's wallet I'm afraid.
Stop using the same 16 and give other people a run out It appeared to be OK with Butterfield today and it can't be worse than using the same people week in week out that don't deliver
I'm not saying sack him just yet because don't get me wrong hes done a decent job but he really hasn't got a clue when things go wrong. Butterfield should have started in the middle- he did well when he came on but clueless doesn't have a clue! With the rumoured striker to be coming in, in the middle of the week- it better not be some Algerian 2nd division cast off, so FFS Davey find a decent striker!
