on Thursday night. I'm not defending any shortcomings in the organisation, but can BFC be blamed for everything eg the delayed kick off?
As for ruining our chances of hosting another Englang game (at any level) It was always going to be a long time before we hosted another game anyway due to basically most clubs wanting to host them. I doubt we'd have even got this game had it been part of a tournament.
I look at the positives such as:
local boy starring in the game albeit for 45 mins.
Former loanee Jack Butler being the Captain
Seeing a host of Premier League and future stars on our pitch.
Back to my initial point though, It really does seem to me that some on here were waiting to pounce at the first and every opportunity to criticise the club.
Having said that, I hope the club respond soon, their comments will be very interesting indeed.
Cue happy clapper, rose-tinted specs type replies.

If they would have sorted the car parking out like a professional football club does, the Belarus team bus would have got there on time meaning kick off at 7.45

Just goes to show the club aren`t as receptive to complaints as they like to mek out, since things complained abart are being done so for the umpteenth time.

Cocking a deffen like is cheaper int long run. They can always hev a coupla pints wi the lads thats far more productive in their eyes.

Barnsley folk in general are predisposed to have a moan about things. so many great things go on in and around town but you'd never know listening to some, il even add my own family in that too !!

I didn't read any unjustified criticism on here. I think most of it was fair and balanced to be honest.

The club need no get parts of their house in order and with the opportunity to showcase a national event in mid week it was some of the same shortcomings that let us down again.

I wouldn't say it's particularly a Barnsley thing, but some (on here particularly) only seem to focus on the negatives. Perhaps it's inline with their wider agenda.

Agreed. Made me laugh on Thursday when Carl Jenkinson made a stray pass after a few minutes and a Barnsley fella stood up and shouted 'your ****ing rubbish man'

If that's a reply to me old ****, then it's obvious tha don't know me. I personally know absolutely no-one who is connected with club or any of the Supporters clubs.
As Thereev would conclude. Hope this helps

The club do react sometimes to that there moaning on here and other forums, so why should folks stop? Improving the matchday experience is summat we all want even if certain things we dont agree with or care abart.

Re: I get the feeling that certain posters found it convenient that BFC got things wr

Not true. The England team set off from St. George's Park in the afternoon and went to Brooklands to have a team meeting. The Belarusian team were also training at St. George's Park but decided to set off from there to make it to the game and actually set off late for the game not giving them enough time to make it in time and were stuck on the motorway and had nothing to do with traffic at Oakwell that made them late. The rest of the matchday operations were run 100% by the FA, they'd been at the club since Monday, had their own offices, telephone lines installed, the works. The club wanted to make some announcements at half time regarding the new kit, Bobby's testimonial and the upcoming season but the FA said no, we're running the show 100% here not you. The catering order was sent to whoever caters for the club by the FA. I guess we can't help revelling in the fact that some of us get a chance to pour more petrol on a fire though without having the facts.

No problem with that MrsHt and I'm not advocating that people shouldn't air their views, I just feel that some would moan in the unlikely event that the club got it right every time.

Not touchy at all, just wondered if it was reply to me that's all. I stopped letting comments on this board get to me a long time ago.

Re: I get the feeling that certain posters found it convenient that BFC got things wr

Nobody blamed the club for the delayed kick off. We blamed the club for having a faulty scoreboard, for running out of food and drink, for having filthy seats, for having poor stewarding, for having poor organisation at the turnstiles, for having poor communication with fans inside the ground.

Maybe people are waiting to have a go at the club on these issues every time. Makes you wonder why the club would be so stupid as to invite the criticism though doesn't it. I mean they know people are apparently waiting to jump on them on these issues as they've all been raised before so why the hell would you sit back and let them happen again?

We get on at one lad at work for being constantly late. He always complains "you can't wait to have a go at me for being late can you". Well turn up on time and don't give us the opportunity then arsehole

But you are GUESSING that they MIGHT. why don't we try getting basic stuff right and seeing how it goes rather than continuing to fail at the basics and inviting guaranteed criticism?

Those *******s at the fa taking bulbs out of the scoreboard and shitting in the seats.
Why did the fa choose to make the clichéd bfc PA announcements using the bfc pa guy? 'The teams are in the tunnel, they can hear you'. That's a bfc announcement not an fa one. Playing that classical music from rocky (I think) is a bfc thing not an fa thing.
