When I have read a post it does not change to green to indicate it has been read. Can someone give me the idiot guide on what I need to do to change it.

    Many thanks in advance

It seems to be working for some and not for others. Not changing for me and I know others are saying the same. Dont know if it's a setting or something to do with the browser being used.

What internet browser are you using? I'm using Google Chrome and the links change colour for me when I click them, and I can't remember changing any settings.

Well what I mean is when I've replied to your thread and someone else has replied to me the green arrow facing left shows for me. But say if you reply to your own thread it does not show but it should when someone else has...any clearer?

Yes but no. No sign of green arrows (nor green Indians in case anyone else posts this)
Never had the joy of replying to my own thread I must admit - one way of having a better class of conversation as they say.

I get the impression I am clutching at straws somewhat. No one seems to have a clue about the strange degree of variability in functionality

Must be a reason for it though

Try deleting your browsing history and then coming back on this site and say when you have replied to a thread or looked at one etc, click 'The BBS' button at the top of the page and this should refresh and you should be able to see this...

I've just got what you're on about

You're in linear mode. We're in threaded mode. We're talking about individual posts turning from red to green. As you're in linear mode there are no individual posts to turn from red to green.

They only turn green in the linear made mate. It does not matter which browser I have tried , Opera, I.E.,Chrome,Firefox none of them changed the colour, if you go linear they do, but then you cant tell who is replying to whom!

I'm using linear mode and they're not turning green - all I get are the little green arrows.
