I popped down to put some petrol in the car and noticed the front page of today's paper, I couldn't believe my bloody eyes. Barnsley FC setting up in Dunedin here in New Zealand, the place where I live. I quickly jumped back in the car full of joy and giving it YOU REDS at full voice. When I'd reached where I was going I flicked through the paper and found the story. That's just not on. I know how I would've felt in the circumstances. Maybe next time you'll get the right club visiting!
You don't expect ...to be pranked by the paper do you. Out of interest though, why are Burnley setting up a centre?
Re: You don't expect There's a lot of untapped talent here, it's a very sporting nation. Don't believe the 100% rugby myth, 'soccer' is big out here. They've got the set up sorted, the football clubs are amazingly well run and the facilities are top notch.
Disappointing but it does make a nice change for Burnley to be mixed up with the mighty reds rather than the other way around.
