    Thank you very much for your pre-Christmas email with regard to the shocking injury to Iain Hulme from the Barnsley v Sheffield United football match. I am very sorry that the extended Christmas break has left me with a mountain of correspondence and I must therefore apologise for the delay to this reply.



    You will probably know that I have been an avid supporter of Blackburn Rovers since my childhood and so I can assure you of my sympathy. I am pleased to confirm that I will sign EDM 141, when I get back to Parliament next week, to signify my public support for the motion

    I got a reply from mine before xmas

    Saying something along the lines of,

    I'm not getting involved because the FA are playing by the rules and I'm happy to leave it at that.
