I put this down to the bizarre tactics / subsitutions / player selections as well as the overall feeling that we had gone slightly backwards. But also the worry and dread of seeing us pi55 away 3 years hard work to end up back in League 1!!! I was very worried I was also mystified as to why we hadn't heard a squeek from our Owner / Chairman until last week. Having read Patricks thoughts and rallying call on the official website it gives me great pleasure to say i WILL be renewing this season and backing the current management team off the back of that. His honesty and the fact that he see's it as we do has given me great belief that the management team know in no uncertain terms what is expected of them and that a change will happen should we have another relegation struggle next term. After the dust has settled and i look at the league table and the injury to our star striker i now realise we are not a millions miles off from being a good midtable side. Hopefully Davey will learn from his mistakes and continue learning the game of mangement, afterall the forthcoming season will only be his 3rd one as a football manager, and to think of the level he has come in at that is no easy task. I fully realise i will get slated to bits for this post, but i think and i hope as the season approaches, many more will do a U turn. I am currently out of work so have no idea where i'll find cash from, but you always find the cash don't you? Up the reds
hows the pigeon? It is a good deal on the season tickets. Can get to every match for just over 12 pounds. Thinking about it myself. Missed 2 home matches last season and paid on gate every time.
Each to their own. I said I wouldn't renew whilst the clown was in charge and a win at Plymouth nor Patrick Cryne's " Rallying call" has made me change my mind. I made a post after one of the few wins and decent performances last season when some of Davey's fans were on saying we Davey Out Brigade had gone quiet and I said something along the lines that were letting them have their moment in the sun confident in the fact that Davey would eventually **** it up, he nearly did, and if he remains in charge at the start of next season he WILL.
no just refuse to have the wool pulled over my eyes in such a blatant manner. Everybody has the right to keep their money in their pocket if they are not satisfied with the product being offered.
The club is in the best hands it could possibly be, the manager has kept us up above 3 much bigger clubs, I'm hoping that Burnley and Leeds win the playoffs and that the 3 North East teams come down and then what a season we'll have in store. We've all been pissed off this season but how could anyone want to miss next season? I can't wait.
What irked me the most is that some of the more vociferous of the anti-Davey clan seemed disappointed we had stayed up. That's taking opposition to a manager too far.
Just so frustrating the contempt that fans and potential fans are being treated with plus the comment on the Official Site that demand is expected to be high, as if they don't feel that there is anything wrong and that everything in the garden is rosy. Just watch the statements start flowing that the club is pleasantly surprised at how sales are being maintained. I for one will treat them with great suspicion.
i thnk that last post says it all. Barnsley stay up, Southampton, Norwich and Charlton all go down. And people are saying Davey should get sacked. all 3 of them are bigger teams than ours.
