I Had To Wait Until 2.30pm est here in America to Watch the Game!

I was so jealous guys leading up to the match in Cardiff yesterday knowing I wouldn’t be there. I am now living in the US and there was just no way I could get back believe me. I then found out last Saturday that Setanta Sport over in the US were not going to show the Barnsley game until 12.20pm est over here, because they were going to show the Rugby Final instead live.

I went on a mission with my American Friends last week who are all now Barnsley fans to get them to change their minds! We sent them loads of emails all from different accounts. I even had my friend got her son who four going on 44 call their office in California and I would like to share with you what my friend’s four year old son told the guy at Setanta Sport in the second of his two calls last week in an attempt to go the game on live for me.

4 Yr old boy: I real think you should give this game some more thought. It is a pretty important game you know.
Setanta Sport: Well, this rugby game is pretty important too.
4 Yr Old: One rugby game is fine but you had to go and put two on didn’t you?
Setanta Sport: How old are you?
4 Yr Old: I am nine Okay I am four going on 24 my mom says.
Setanta Sport: Well, I think it great that you’re a fan at that age.
4 Yr Old: I don’t think you know what a fan is or you would do this and put this game on for these people. I think you need to spend sometime with my mom. There is a right way to do things and a wrong and you picked the wrong way.

The kid then hung up. I thought for a four year old he did well.

Anyway I had to make on choice on Saturday morning was I to listen to the game in Radio Sheffield live or wait until 2.30pm est. over to watch it on the TV. I chose later after a lot of careful consideration as difficult as it was to keep away from the Internet. I can only imagine what it must have been like to be there. I lost the count of how many time I said I can’t take this I have to go line and just get the score, but I didn’t and I am so glad I didn’t either.

If any of you would like to take a few minutes to email Setanta Sport to tell them they should have put the Barnsley game on live there email is Shane@setanta.com. Please for anyone emailing them say you are emailing them on be half of Shane (myself) who tired with his friends to get you to put the game on live last week instead of the Rugby Final. I have to give this Shane at Setanta Sport some credit because he responded to every single email we sent him, and believe me there was quite a few.

Please bombard this guy with emails after emails I want to make him very sorry for not putting the Barnsley game on live for me.

Anyway from a Barnsley fan now living in Michigan as jealous hell at not being there in Cardiff yesterday. What can I say but Leeds here we come!! And Wednesday too!!!
