Will you still hate them if they smash up Hillsbourgh?

Although I've read that it is in need of a bit of a makeover. :D

The crowning glory has to be this song and although I hate to admit it this is possibly the best world cup song ever. It takes me back to probably the best world cup I can remember seeing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N95aeSLtA4

Yeah I've got to agree with you Mario. Was a great song, certainly got the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

Now this one was most certainly cringeworthy.

BTW In Dundee after the shambles there was a guy with a load of copies of it and he was selling them in the High St for 1p a time and you got given a hammer to smash it. True story.

Classic; I can picture it now, a load of angry Scots and a hammer. It would have been funny if the guy selling the records was English but maybe not for him.

Your right about the 78 World Cup. One of the best and Argentina were my team throughout. And what a great strip they wear. The ticket tape celebrations were something else. Did you guys take along bags of paper to celebrate goals the following season? Now I know why you picked the name Mario Kempes. Player of the tournament. Superb player.

Oh yes, the 78 world cup is the first I remember and I loved it at the time, Dad letting us stay up late to watch the games. Sadly I can't claim responsibility for the 'Mario Kempes' naming rights as the nickname was thrust upon me while I was in the Army.
