Firstly, why sit back after we score the 2nd? We were well on top, for the entire match, even before the red card, and your just asking for trouble when you sit back!

And secondly... Martin Devaney is the most wasteful player the club has had in the last 5 years. Yeah, he ran about a lot... yeah, he tried to take players on... but where is the end product? Countless times he gave the ball away, crosses that were never going to get anywhere near a red shirt! He's brilliant at running around a lot, and covers ground, and tries his best to take players on... but his final ball is just awful. I'm not even going to mention the 2 clear cut goalscoring chances he had.

All in all though... top effort. Foster down the right did well, JCR was lively as ever and Colace was superb in midfield.

Devaney had a decent game tonight. He knocked a few balls in that we were inches aways from getting a striker on. He is still our best bet for the other wing to JCR.

    un-effing-believable

Devaney had a cracking game. Their full back will be having nightmares tonight. His work lead to our first goal and although some crosses were wayward he sent in many more that could have been finished off.

Devaney played like we all know he can tonight and was superb.
If only he could produce that kindof form every game!
Jamal and Devaney were awesome tonight. They tore the Fowls to bits and they had no answer but to try and hack em down at every opportunity.

Well mate from where i was sat Devaney was superb tonight, ok he missed a good chance in the first half, but he also had a hand in the first goal. Outside the premiership i think he is one of the best wingers in the football league. If he was more consistant he would be worth 5 million and probably playing in the premiership. Frankly old boy you either havn't been to the match or you are pissed. (NOOO)

A bit harsh but I know what you means

On the odd occcasion he made the wrong choices but Hey ho if he was the complete footballer he wouldnt be with Barnsley.

for the most part Devaney is a good player to have when things are going our way. Enough said.

For the first hour Devaney frightened Wednesday to death

He should have scored like and Davey should have subbed him when he was knackered, but if we get that kind of performance out of him every week I'll be more than happy.

He's got a point about Davaney though Pete.

And it isn't only tonight, he's always the same. Disappears up his own arse is the phrase my mate uses.

    Devaney was my MoTM

He set the tone for the whole performance last night from the first time he got the ball, he ran at their defence, skipped the tackles, got a good ball in which led to our first goal.

He was strong in the tackle, made numerous runs from deep, made the Wednesday defence's life very difficult and his enthusiasm was infectious in the team.

    Well done Martin.
