I wish we were as passionate about our country as the Scots are about Scotland.

All day on radio it's been hyping up tomorrows match against Lithuania, playing proper Scottish songs, getting everyone in the mood for football, competitions for tickets, etc.

Had English radio on for a few hours and not a fecking word about the football.

We're all too busy being embarrassed about them.

They really are so passionate about their country though, not just in football.

I have to admit, it's the one thing I admire about them!

The thing is about Scotland, the people don't expect them to do much, and so the joyfull celebrations that's enjoyed by the Scotish people. Any result by the Scotish team will be a bonus not only to the people but the team it's self.

Were as the English team are by all accounts the best team in the world and the English people expect them to bulldoze the opposition into dust. Not only the people but the gutter press ( who are the so called voice of the English people) expect any English side to wallop the opposition. If only it was that simple.

England will never ever win anything again in world football , the sooner the fans and the press realise this then the pressure off the England team will be lifted. The players are good enough, but they have been bulled up to such a climax that when the time comes they bottle it,with much pressure on their young and glamourous shoulders. Send the team to a hideaway in the Catskill mountains for 20 years and they will come back much older, much wiser, and with less money. Then only then will the England team, when the pressure is off and their fantastic lifesyles are no more will they start to play . Trouble is they will be far to old. :)

    but thats England all over,

Tim Henman Frank Bruno, the Olypics, the Cricket, the football team..... does'nt the rest of the world realise that we are the biggest and best and thus capitulate and lose heavily to us.We are a BIG team.In every sport so why don't the rest of the world realise and succumb. Its no surprise that the Sheffield Wednesday Band play at England games is it, as they are used to playing their ***** trumpets for BIG teams.
