I have a dream that one day we can live in a country where people are not sacked from their job due to there beliefs. I have a dream that one day I can walk through the streets of Bradford without feeling like a foreigner and do so without fear. I have a dream that one day my children can sing baa baa black sheep without fear of racist accusations. I have a dream that one day I don’t see jobs only available for people with a certain colour skin. I have a dream that one day we can ban racist organisations such as association for black police officers. I have a dream that one day the president of the United States is not celebrated by racists due to the colour of his skin. I have a dream that one day I will not be insulted and called petty name e.g. uneducated prejudicial bigoted or backward, by someone who cannot stand others having a different political view. I have a dream that one day that we can make our own rules in this country and not be a united Europe against the wishes of the majority of the population and be given the referendum we were promised. I have a dream that a certain politicians doesn’t threaten to mobilise 10000 Muslims when he does not get his own way. I have a dream that one day, when we welcome people to our country they try and fit into our society, they speak the language and they let there women out of the house with more than just a small slit for them to see. I have a dream that one day the police of this country can stop and search someone without being accused of racism. I have a dream that one day that if I have a disagreement with someone of a different coloured skin I am not accused of being racist. I have a dream that one day I can express an opinion about homosexuality without being insulted with words such as homophobic just because I have a different opinion on the subject to someone who cant stand me having a different view to them. I have a dream that one day that we can have senior asian police officers in this country that accept they have not been successful in promotion without throwing around accusations of racism and trying to get tens of thousands in compensation. I have a dream that we will live in a free and democratic nation without fear of expressing our political view. I have a dream today. And if England is to be a great nation all the above must be true. So let freedom ring from Royston. Let freedom ring from Hoyland. Let freedom ring from Penistone. Let freedom ring from Mapplewell. Let freedom ring from Grimethorpe. Let freedom ring from Darfield. One day we will live in a democratic country that will let freedom ring, we will be able to vote for who we want without fear of prejudice and insult from bigots just because we have different views. When we let freedom ring we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every county and every city we will speed the day when all God’s children black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!" I have a dream, I vote BNP.
"democratic country" Yet you vote for and support Facists who be definition are "anti-democratic". Think about that for a while.
RE: "democratic country" Again another example, of people throwing around insults as someone dare have a different political view to them. I am not a fascist I oppose racism as stated in my first statement. I vote BNP as I feel it is the best party for my dream. If you want a political debate I will have one, I dont mind people having different views unlike yourself. But please stop throwing around insults and using words you clearly dont know the meaning of.
RE: and when did you start having these nightmares? nt I have always wanted to live in a country, without prejudice to someone elses political view. This is a dream for me a country without prejudice, I take it that is a nightmare for you? Correct me if I am wrong.
Where did I insult you? Please highlight where? I am merely pointing out to you that it is worth thinking about that a party of facists that by definition are un-democratic...none of that questions your "right" to believe that the BNP are a route to your dream. And nothing changes my right to believe you are wrong and to attempt to persuade you of that. And Vice Versa. You oppose racism yet support a racist organisation, that wishes to select people based on phyiscal characteristics rather than talent and ability.
yes Redstar you are right that's not an opinion it's a fact fascism as a system at it's very core is in no way even close to democratic, and the BNP certainly are fascists. I have to say reading that I always wondered why there are things like the Asian Business Awards, when of course there can't be White People's Business Awards. But let me say this there's a long way between discussing those problems sensibly and thinking the best thing for this country would be to kick out everyone who wasn't an indigenous Britain, which unless you are Scotch, Irish or Welsh ie Celtic you are also very unlikely to be. by the way wasn't there another bloke who made all the people in his country prove they were of 'pure' descent?
RE: Sorry, but I draw the line at Mapplewell - a step too far. nt Lol, I named random areas in the borough as I took inspiration for my original post from a great speech from one of my heros. Martin Luther King. Another person who fought against hate and prejudice.
Can I answer some of those... 'I have a dream that one day I can walk through the streets of Bradford without feeling like a foreigner and do so without fear'- I have walked the streets of Bradford before and lived for 3 years in Coventry, a very multiracial city and can honestly say I have not been frightened or felt like a foreigner. Just because someone has a different colour skin, faith or speaks a foreign language doesn't make me frightened. If you're frightened it is more likely to do with ingorance and a lack of understanding than anything they have done. I have been more frightened walking through a council estate in a predominantly white area than in so called 'non white' areas. 'I have a dream that one day, when we welcome people to our country they try and fit into our society, they speak the language and they let there women out of the house with more than just a small slit for them to see'- I have friends who live in Spain and they hardly speak a word of Spanish after 10 years over there. We, the British, are just as bad if not worse. If I moved abroad, I wouldn't speak their language all the time because English is my native tongue. The same should apply to them. I agree with many of those you say. I hate 'positive discrimination' and I firmly believe people have the right to free speach, but the BNP do not stand for that. Free speach has to apply to everyone. If people want the right the speak about sending foreigners back to where they belong then a muslim has the right to talk about holy wars, Jihad etc.
how can you possibly say MLK is a hero to you then vote BNP? his people in America were opressed and he fought to end it black people in this country are not particularly disadvantaged in the grand scheme of things and neither are white people, we've reached a place where it's close to equal and you want to turn the clock back. MLK would turn in his grave if the BNP ever took any semblence of power here. I once read that Nick Griffin said "there's no such thing as a British asian." I know people who are British but are of Asian descent but they support England at football like you and me and have only been to India on holiday. Why should they be forced to live there they are British just the same as anyone else.
RE: yes Redstar you are right that's not an opinion it's a fact I do not believe the BNP are facists, please provide evidence of this if I am wrong. There is nothing on there website or manifestos that I have read to sugget this. I presume you are refering to Hitler he was the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party. I am not a socialist like him and I am also against a united Europe. Another reason why I vote BNP.
Well in that case you voted very much for the wrong party And, out of interest what are your views on homosexuals?
RE: Don't offend him... Redstar, carry on with the childish remarks, you are just making a fool of yourself.
