Its my opinion only but I took a complete stranger to Barnsley FC on Saturday and again Tuesday night and his words were. 'Appart from a few players there seems to be a could't care less attitude' I have the impression that they are not playing for Davey as they should.

We are not aware of the reasons behind the sudden slump in form but it may well be a 'discipline' problem that should be sorted sooner than later. I am afraid if I was in Daveys place there would have been some almighty bollockings on Sat & Tuesday.

Without a doubt in my opinion ............

.... no doubt they all liked and respected Ritchie, and achieved success under his leadership, on the other hand they probably didn't even say 'hello' to Davey when he was 'just' the Academy manager, now they are having to do as he says and some obviously do not fit into his plans ..... that's one of the downsides of promoting a manager from within the club I'm afraid

Sudden slump in form? Its January now not November

Its been getting progressively worse since the Luton home game.

Ritchie worked his way up from Academy manager though, he was assistant manager for a year before he got the job.

Exactly, Ritchie was well known in the game ....

....... apart from his playing career, he had been a 'proper' manager at Oldham for 3(?) years and was only doing the Academy job cos nowt else better was on offer to him at the time, completely different scenario to Simon (who?) Davey

Yes I would agree the slump has been progressive. However to be fair in the early days of Daveys caretaker roll there was effort showing that gave us some clean sheets and some hard won points.
