    Lets not forget, footy players are usually not of the genius variety. He's probably just dead chuffed with his new contract and opened his mouth without thinking.</p>

    But now its out, we just have to hope our players realise the quality he'll add to the defence and don't begrudge him the money. That said, his pitch performance will be the thing that dictates that- so he better live up to his value or he'll soon get pillocked in the dressing room.</p>

    Still, I'm made up with that signing. As if he'd even consider going to the scum!</p>

    I am not knocking the fact that he is the highest paid, just he should have kept it to himself. Some players are very fickle now days.</p>
