I hope Mr Shepherd's latest managerial appointment

Will be as successful as his last . He was universally condemned for selecting a "Yes" man , with little managerial experience and appointing from within then , too . If the fans had had their way in 2005 , Andy Ritchie would never have been made manager. The vast majority of fans were in favour of Nigel Spackman's appointment in 2001 . The fans were wrong , for different reasons ,on both occasions . Is the same true now ?
We'll have to wait and see . I didn't want Davey as manager , but then again , I didn't want Norman Hunter or Danny Wilson as manager when they were appointed either !!
