Did you hear the tanoy announcement about the north stand not opening the bar at half time as it's run out of alcohol? That will have lost us hundreds of pounds by not making sure we had enough 3.50 little plastic Carling bottles in there to milk them.
I disagree, as when they done cheap tickets its still 9k attendence. Its something else its not performance cos start of year was same.. at any rate we will test pricing cron giving 5pound off I bet attendence same.
The Don has lost all credibility and is out of his depth. Barry Taylor - WTF does he even do?! Doubt either of those two would be embarrassed/ashamed n wa probably drinking champers a la qpr. PC won't get rid of them though cos that would mean having to come run the club on his own until a proper board was put in place - something he won't do. The club needs a new owner and a proper board and chairman put in place. Out defeatest, tin-pot attitude comes from the top down and is slowly killing the club imo. Clear out at the top required I'm afraid..
One off average priced games will NOT get fans back. The club have driven fans away with an absurd pricing policy that practically eclveryone outside of our boardroom disagreed with.
Off the field is as lacklustre as on it most of the time. Terrible attendance, empty seats filling the TV screen, decent atmosphere though for a change. Running out of beer is about as impressive as the music, Lana Del Rey and and Bananarama to get everyone going, with silent gaps in between. Great stuff.
LOL, true too, everything about the club is amateur. Somebody made an analogy to being run like a corner shop, thought it was a good one. It is a depressing experience visiting Oakwell at times.
We are getting on average 8,700 (ish) home supporters at Oakwell these days And will be even less next season with the way things are going.
Pricing is not the primary reason for our poor crowds and it's too simplistic to focus blame solely on this aspect. We seem to be back to where we were pre premier league averaging around 9000 - 10000 fans so until we get a big club in the cup or get back to the premier league the majority of the stay away fans won't bother coming regardless of price.
Agree with you, Mario. I suppose one could add also the lack a spare cash as so many in Barnsley are without jobs.
