and don't regret your decisions. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=50&fid=41&sty=2&act=1&mid=2124845084
Is this some kind of elaborate wind up from the pro Davey crew? For something that you believed in so strongly only a few hours ago you've conceded defeat easily after hearing some opinions that conflict with your own? Talk about a house of cards.
By all means have your protest, lets see haow the fans are spilt, should be interesting Or do all the Davey haters have a feeling that there won't be as many people protesting as first thought and they'll just look a little bit stupid
Having been at the East Dene Mr Cryne strikes me as the type of bloke who wouldn't even give you the time of day. Did you seriously think you would get a one on one meeting with him today?! Cryne will sack Davey if he sees fit. No amount of protest or emails will get him to change his mind. Just support the players - that's all we can do at the moment.
Jimbob stop being tool long enough to take a step back and understand the way fans are feeling. This isnt about people looking stupid, its about people caring passionately about a club they love. Just because their opinion is different to yours doesnt make them stupid.
There's to much name calling and aggresion for a rational debate ... it's all about opinions. Whilst I personally believe that the manager should be given 10 matches from the start of this season it does not mean that if someone disagrees with me they are either stupid or an idiot, it's just their point of view. If people can't voice their opinion on here then the board doesn't have a real purpose.
RE: Common sense prevailed then? nt Loko, not common sense as such but a feeling that things would get a bit nasty if it happened - that is my point of view from the way people have posted on here. I think something will happen on Saturday despite the result - Simon Davey is ripping the fanbase apart and is not the man to keep us in this division. I can't understand why people expect Patrick to make a decision when he showed he was incapable of it in the summer - what a turnaround that was on his stance with Davey!
If they were that sure of their cause they would do it anyway without being influenced by others, why suddenly stop, if they beleived in it so much they woudl have said stuff what you think, this is our opinion our way of getting our message across I do understand the way the way fans are feeling oh sorry some of the fans not all by the way I'll get my message across by going to the games and supporting the lads through thick and thin, I also trust the guy that has pumped millions of pounds into the club to make the correct decision when needed. and why suddenly insult me by calling me a tool, just because I don't agree with you dosen't make me a tool!!!!! you seem to have an abundance of confetti today!!!!!!!!!!!
I should have made my post clearer as I wasn’t intending to insult you. What i was trying to say was that if you call fans stupid for doing what they believe is right then you're behaving like a tool. The opinions of any protestors are just as valid as yours or mine provided they do it peacefully and for the right reasons. Sorry if I insulted you.
I think we both need to make posts more clearer, I wasn't meaning that that the fans that want to protest were stupid for doing so, I was mearly trying to say that support for the cause will propably not be as strong as they thought and it would look a bit daft with 20-30 people with a banner saying "we want davey out" while 10 or 11 thousand people walk past them into the ground to support the lads. If they are sure of the cause then go ahead, if there are 10-11 thousand people behind the banner and 20-30 people going into the ground, then I stand corrected. Applogy acdcepted, no hard feelings Anyway I've been called far worse than a tool, believe me
I shouldnt have used personally insulting language, anyway glad its cleared up. I know what you're saying and for the record i dont think the protest, if it goes ahead, will achieve anything but if it makes people feel that they in some way contributing to a greater cause then fair play to them. I do agree with you that no matter how strongly some feel about Davey it will be a small minority who protest.
And what will make all Barnsley fans look a bit daft now is that according to tobytykespuppy the media have been informed there's a protest planned for Saturday with a big banner and everything and then 3-4 hours later the banners getting burned and the protest has been called off.
Yeah thats whats bothering me now. I even asked tobytykespuppy if it was all an elaborate hoax on the part of Davey supporters; they just seemed to cave in far too easily for militants.
