....mines this........another new set of players are going to take time to gell .....so bottom 10 up to Christmas...........finish just above middle That is to say............a long boring season is expected
Re: I know feelings are still a bit raw.......but whats your expectations for next se Consolidation. Mid/lower-mid table finish while we replace lots of players and dispense with the sh.it ones that are still in contract.
I want to say cavalier, exciting, attacking football. Thrills, spills, goals and entertainment. Permanently in or around the play offs with a mixture of homegrown youth, established stalwarts (eg Steele, CO'G and JO'B) with the odd useful loanee thrown in for good measure. I actually expect a long, hard season of struggle. Very little entertainment or excitement. Mid-table at best with a team populated by journeymen who care nowt for our club, town or fans. Our fan base to become more and more fractured and Mansford and Watkins to become less and less popular. WSB will produce more quality fanzines and raise good money for charity. The club will continue to view them and the BBS as nuisances. The Chron will print regular updates on the club's fortunes that are nothing more than bullish!t, guesswork or a combination of the two. The takeover won't happen, Cryne won't pump money in (and who could blame him?) and we'll have to sell the only player(s) who perform in January. Wilson will walk/get sacked due to fan pressure. We will fail to beat Sheff U, Donny, Rotherham or Rochdale home or away. Keith Hill will proclaim himself God for getting results against one of the division's biggest sides. Bury will dump us out of the JPT thing. The only part of Flitcroft's post match interview that will be understandable will feature the phrase 'Special human beings' three times. Don't think the beer has in anyway softened my mood tonight. Glad to see the back of this season.
Re: I know feelings are still a bit raw.......but whats your expectations for next se If Danny gets rid of the ***** and recruits well I think we can finish top six. If he doesn't we'll be in for another season of struggle.
Re: I know feelings are still a bit raw.......but whats your expectations for next se The budget for Barry's biscuits will be slashed and he will have to make do with a bag of broken off the market. We won't get a new scoreboard. The TV's won't get switched on. Rochdale will do the double over us. We'll sell Danny Rose for not a lot. Whitey's forehead will become larger as his hairline retreats further. One of our better players will suffer a season ending injury against Sheff Utd. And finally, we won't go up.
