How come we keep conceding goals from headers inside the six yard box? Muller is supposed to be the greatsest thing since sliced bread and yet he concedes as many as Colgan from crosses.

Seemed to be poor marking by Stan yesterday. Not seen the goals on tv yet but Stan seemed to be picking Shittu up at all the set pieces.

Definitely not Heinz's fault. Would have had to come through a right crowd of players so it would have probably ended up like our 3rd goal.

Personally i thought Muller had his worst performance for us. I don't know if he was carrying an injury or what. But he punched at quite a few crosses when it would have been much easier to catch the ball. But i am not being to critical, he is a superb goalie and every player as their off days. :)

Not the greatest thing since sliced bread...

but a damn sight better than Colgan. Defending from the crosses was poor yesterday, but if you want to blame Muller in some attempt to vindicate Colgan, then carry on!

    Just pointimg out

that we are still conceding a lot of our goals from inside the six yard box.
Its not all down to the keeper, like was said last year.
This season the defence is a lot taller and yet we still give free headers away . Is this down to the defensive coaching or is it because Barnsley FC are not able to sign defenders that know how to defend crosses. This has been a weakness for a good few years.

    I know...

but I don't think you can hold Muller responsible for all of these.

He is a far better keeper than Colgan IMHO

    Fair point

But don't think I'd blame Muller yesterday. Stan was doing the marking on Shittu and failed to get close enough to him for the first. Their second was an excellent goal (and not from a set play as has been stated earlier). They were very attack minded with Shittu often making the break forward and he timed his run brilliantly.

Wondered if the tactic of getting their team out early after half-time to warm-up again caused them to tire later on ! :)S)

If Muller were the greatest thing since sliced bread

he wouldn't be paying for Tarn!

Of course he's got his limitations - but he's probably as good as we can expect to get.

And before the Colganites start - I've said the same about him in the past.

I just whated to say, thats y the six yard box is called the danger zone, lots of teams have difficulty in similar situations if they didn't then there would only be about half as many goals scored, all we can do is hope to work on it and have a bit of luck

    RE: Fair point

And when Shittu made those runs forward Stan tracked him. He was marking him for the 2nd goal.
