    agreed

it was obvious? to me on Sat that Muller needed more matches-his reading of the game was poor--there were three occasions when he clearly should have come for the ball and by not doing so put defenders under unnecessary pressure-I remember one with Moore in particular-if Davey is still in charge on Sat and picks Muller then he is a hypocrite

    On a similar subject .....

How is De Silva doing since he came back ? Any concerns about him "not being the player he was" or is it still too early to tell ? Does the outlook look promising ?

Thought he did ok on Saturday, few decent touches. Sure we will see a different player by end of October with 6/7 games under belt.

Noone was saying that when he kept 2 clean sheets on the bounce FFS.

He's not turned into a bad keeper after 1 game.

    fully agree

I thought he had a howler on saturday with his inability to come for balls that defenders were leaving for him and he's had another last night. All of this after steele did nothing to warrent being dropped.

Oh and Muller states in the last home programme that his knee isn't fully back to how it used to be yet. Why rush him when he can play a few more reserve games and get back to 100% instead of playing at 80 or 90?

    I did actually

I rate Muller, I really do but I think he was rushed back a few weeks too early in a last ditch attempt to keep somebody in a job.

I'm not saying he is a bad keeper but looking at him on Saturday his movement was clearly restricted, nearly cost us a couple of goals and we have a perfectly good fit keeper who has done nothing wrong all season. I know Muller appears to have already got legendary status for some but for me he is no better than Steele or Colgan.

by his standards it was a howler

And I meant specifically relating to his communication with his defence, not his ellaborate shot stopping.

The muller of old would have been off his line like a shot everytime the ball came near his box yet on saturday he hesitated every time and on at least two occasions the striker very nearly got the ball

Here we go again. More knee jerk reactions. Some of you are priceless you really are! We are almost unanimous (of course that won't include Supertyke) that we have looked more solid defensively since Muller's return, then you want to drop him after one bad game. Do us a favour, stick to Champ Manager!

He's not fit, the real concern is that his knee is as good as its going to get, and I still think he's a flapper

    It was inevitable

SD obviously wanted Muller in the team so that he could sell him at a profit.

I think it is another example of how he doesn't appear to deal with his playing staff in an even handed manner.

You are not allowed to say anything about him flapping at crosses

or the fact we conceded quite a few goals from crosses last season while Muller was in goal.

He is the best keeper in BRITAIN ............................................... apparently

Learned everything he knows about flapping at crosses

From the ultimate master, Dave Watson. Ooh, mustn't criticise Mr Watson as he's a local lad and the bestist goalie ever. :)
