    But surely in a game where we're not only expected to win, but to have the lion's share of possession, John Stones would be more suited to playing tonight? A proper ball player who can act as a play maker half the time!

    Bang on. Cahill and Smalling can't thread a good pass to a forward. All they do is follow the Hill manual of passing to another defender. It's great for the possession figure but it won't win matches.
