Just got round to watching the whole Fleetwood match again. I didn't go and, as many have said, it wasn't a great performance but the result was all that matters at this stage of the season. The Scowen booking though was unbelievable. It was right below the camera gantry so there was a very good view of it. Scowen and their number eight were tussling for the ball and their lad was using his arm almost from start to finish of the incident - trying to push him away rather than just using his feet to play himself out of trouble. He obviously lost his temper with our little Jack Russell of a number seven and he finally lashed out with a hand to Josh's face. It wasn't a punch as such but contact was made and, as far as I know, that's a red card for their player. But no......Scowen got booked. He then nearly got sent off for continuing to argue his case even after he had walked away. You can't blame him though. It was refereeing of the highest incompetence and had it been the other way round we would have laughed about it. I wonder what these referees assessors do in such circumstances. Surely they watch a video playback of the whole match and, like I said, the view of the whole thing was plain to see. Scowen just tried to get the ball off him, and got a slap in the face for his trouble.
