Considering there has been a host of indicators to base this on,

Manager that has tactical ability and

Some good player additions that show promise

Addition of good loan signings that have ability

Existing team members are playing better than early season

The team have the 'winning' mentality and it shows

We have for the first time in years sufficient back up to ensure players have to compete for places.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves guys

Everyone said the same after the Burnley game on 'Boxing Day' and we ended up needing a result on the last day of the season to stay in the CCC.

    big difference this year

coco the clown has left town.

I am quietly confident we will do quite well this year.

Today we ground out a result when we didnt play particularly well - sign of a good team.

no reason why we cant get there or there abouts as the saying goes everyone is capable of beating anyone in the division, if we can get a bit of consistency who knows?

If we can get the team playing as a unit for most of the season and are best players fit for most of season there is no reason we should be below 12/13/14. Our engine is solid and if robins can sort this defence out a bit what still looks dodge we will have a good season because we have strikers that can do the damage.

Not unless we can get central defence sorted and

don't forget we may only have Shotton and Dickinson while January

    i hope we don't.

imagine making the playoffs and fluking promotion. It would be a disaster. the team and infrastructue are not ready just like it wasnt in 1998.

If we hadnt got promoted to the prem we would have not been relegated to league 1. I'd rather us just be steady in this divsion, midtable for 2 years and then gradually move up to challenge the playoffs.

    RE: i hope we don't.

If only football worked like that where you pick and choose divisions and what rate of progress you make.

The massive amount of money BFC would receive and parachute payments upon any subsequent relegation, would be an incentive in itself. That said, as well as we've played last few games, I don't think we are good enough to go up.

    twaddle

we did'nt get relegated and go into admin because we got promoted to the prem, we got into the mess we did through the total inept management of our club by a certain fruit n veg man, while i believe your right about not being ready the revenue from going up, properly managed is just what the club is in need of.

To get anywhere near the top 10 De Silva needs to in the team.

Mid table would be great, then keeping hold of players that are due to end there contracts ( some of them anyway).

Same fruit n veg man that 'ineptly' got us to the Prem against all the odds and help transform the ground - against all the financial odds - into an all seater stadoum.

Your tongue firmly in your cheek when you wrote that!!..

Because i disagree, whats the point of being in this division if you don't want to play in the best league in the world, in fact whats the bloody point of playing football full stop.

i can't believe that no-one wants us back in the premier league, i just can't..

    No chance

We're still quite a way behind at least 10 clubs in this division. I'd be delighted with a 'low teens' finish.

i didnt say i dont was us to get there.

I'd just rather us be in a position to sustain it if we did get there again.

Whats the point in getting there and getting beat 6 and 7s every week like last time, then getting relegated and sacking the manager for finishing mid-table in the division below which is exactly where we were.
