..but I'm still fuming. I'm one of those who went to Southend last year and can't/won't be going this year. The utter lack of any thought for the travelling fan beggars belief (Sorry, they did think about it and decided to totally dismiss the fans' interest). It's a crap decison from a club that is fast becoming completely alienated from me. Even a statement saying that the decision had been taken and regrets to fans who have been put out would have been something. The official line is that they don't care a toss about supporters and are not concerned about the arrangements that they make.
It doesn't matter that only a few hundred went last year. It's supposed to be a spectator game and if it is to be run like a business then surely the customers ought to come first.

    Unfortunately

It wasn't a ****-up. It was thought over and a deliberate decision made. It's the club's decision and it's pretty clear where their priorities are - certainly not with the fans.

    RE: Unfortunately

Ok Southend play again on Monday we play the day after but if we had played the cup game on the Saturday we still have nearly 3 days to recover and now we may be at a disadvantage which could cost the club a lot of money, sometimes we are too nice a club.
