    Have seen that on panoramma on 1 about the two deaths of them kids in corfu.
    As a corgi it unreal to see how those boilers were installed with NO flue..unbeliveable.
    Altho a pain in the ass to sit all the tests we have to do to becoma corgi registered, it does stop most cowboys doing work.
    Rember always ask for a corgi card if having any gas work done and check the reverse to see if they are qualified to work on your sort of appliance, a tick at the side of gas fires or boilers etc.

    Yep watched it, and tomorrow i will be buying a detector.:eek: regardless that our boiler was fitted by a Corgi fitter.

    are lass bought one from work last week, fecking useless goes off if you put the deep fat fryer on. but on the strenght of it had my boiler seviced, perfect. Fitter told me to sling the plug in detetor away and buy a battery one

    Had work done a couple of years back on extension roof, the builder asked if the flue was still used and I told him it was.
    A couple of months later when I was having the boiler serviced the engineer asked me if I'd had work done on the roof - the flue was blocked with debris!
