    ... the real problem seems to be at the other end.

    After 35 games we have scored 31 goals at a rate of 0.89 per game.

    After 35 games we have conceded 62 goals at a rate of 1.77 per game.

    Based on 46 games we are on target to score 41 goals and concede 81.

    Our best and worst scoring records since 2006-07 are 56 and 45.

    Our best and worst conceding records since 2006-07 are 57 and 85.

    It looks like we could have our worst scoring season, but not our worst conceding season.

    So if you consider our lightweight midfield the conclusion doesn't give us much hope of another great escape.
