    Howard is the best player (after Muller) at the club
    Howard is the only player at the club at the moment that looks like scoiring when he gets the ball
    Barnsley are currently second from the bottom of the table, not because the defence is bad and they have loads of goals against, its because they cant score goals
    On top of this the fans are starting to shout for the sacking of Simon Davey

    So taking all these things into consideration, how can Simon Davey go out and sell our best player to a local rival..........a LOCAL RIVAL FFS !!!

    Does Alex Fergusson sell players to Liverpool................NO !!!..........does he hell
    No matter what circumstances..............Fergusson does not sell his best players to Liverpool


    So for Simon Davey to sell or loan a player, our best player, to a local rival he must have had the backing of Patrick Cryne to do this
    Howard to Blunts !!!.............then Simon Daveys job is very very much secure

    If Howard was a nuisance in the dressing room then he should be kept clear of the WELL until a club was found to off load him.
    But he or any other Barnsley player should not be sold to any of the following clubs;

    Leeds United
    Sheffield Wednesday
    Sheffield United


    Again us Barnsley fans become the laughing stock
    You can hear it now.........."I live in Wombwell but support Sheffield Wednesday because Barnsley always sell there best players"

    if only that was black and white

    unfortunatley football does not work like that and there are only a few clubs in th world which will not sell to rival clubs!

    kozluk that was different though wasn't it................YES it was

    Didn't we aquire him from a Sheffield club
    I'm sure we didn't SELL him to a Sheffield club

    Howard is in the last year of his contract

    He could go for nowt at the end of the season though, that's the difference with Hirst.

    Selling him to anyone in this division would be exactly the same - whether it's Sheff Utd or Southampton

    Barnsley fans are AGAIN the laughing stock in the villages south and east of Barnsley

    From Hoyland to Thurnscoe where there are loads of Wendy, Blunts and Weeds fans who originate from the Barnsley district and support these other teams for one reason only

    ............BARNSLEY FOOTBALL CLUB HAS NO AMBITION...............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


    After the Howard fiasco Barnsley fans have got to endure these stay away fans abuse ..............because they have been proven right...........AGAIN

    I never thought I would say this but I agree with Young Nudger

    in principle I would have prefered the club to make him stay after all he signed a new 2 year contract on better money but if he does not want to stay why keep him, if he loved the club like he said he does he would turn them down and see the season out, lets be honest there is no loyalty in football from either side club or player!

    Barnsley football Club need to sign some quality replacement players next week

    Talk of Webber signing...........that would be good
    But if its Howard to Blunts with nothing in return then I for one will be more than angry
    Not angry with Simon Davey...............but with the Directors for letting this happen

    but like I've said if BH loved the club he would not move to a rival club and see his contract out with us, the move on his behalf will simply be for money!

    young nudger, what drugs are you on, have you been watching the same games as the vast majority of BFC fans or have you been wearing those rose tinted spec again, or are you one of those fans that think brian can do no wrong....... WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.... howard has been way way below his best, for what ever reason...... time you had a reality check mate...... yes i will be dissapointd to see him go, but maybe it will be in the best interests of the club and the the player to move on, as he obviously is'nt that botherd bout signing a new contreact with us,

    You need to read this post which i posted earlier...............

    Brian Howard was in the Championship team last season - the one chosen by the whole of the Championship players themselves
    As an attacking midfield player he is therefore considered the BEST in the Championship........

    Ok, I agree, he hasn't played well this season - but could this be because he has a dispute at the club regarding wages ???
    Are you at your best at work if you know you are being underpayed ???


    If Tonge is worth £2 MILLION...................you can double that for Brian Howard (even when he hasen't played well this season).


    Its an absolute disgrace that he is being sold to a local rival for £600 k

    Howard has not been our particularly poor this season. He has looked poor playing in midfield with Hassell, who is not a midfielder - FACT.
