That's pretty impressive going for a first book! Mine was Meg and Mog - "Meg's Eggs", by Jan Pienkowski. It is mostly pictures.

Perhaps one of the Barnsley FC related books? Didn't someone on this BBS write a book about the club a few years ago?

    And then there's this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oakwell-Official-History-Barnsley-F-C/dp/0956984894

Haven't read it (or any other book about Barnsley FC...) so I don't know if it's any good.

Michael Vaughans "Time to Declare" was pretty decent. But a lot of the biographies these days are empty and written by ghost writers.

Best sporting one for me was Clive Woodwards.

Well done Hemmsy lad, let's hope it's the first of many!

If you fancy reading another cricket book I'd recommend Ian Botham's autobiography, p*ss funny in parts and much more reflective than I thought it'd be, loads of stories that exemplify why he's such a national hero.
