Factual, interesting and not too difficult to read. I'm only from Wombwell. Worrabart this 50 shades of grey? Worth it to pick up any tips for the lay-deez?
The Hunger Games is a great read. I read it in about 2 days, couldn't put it down. It's not really factual, though.
The Death Of Marco Pantani. Great factual read. Or "An Utterly Impartial History Of Britain" by John O'Farrell.
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, about a bloke in a recovery centre and his coke and alcohol addiction. Very very good, read it in no time.
I'd also recommend "The Miracle Of Castel di Sangro" about the village team (pop 5,000) getting to Serie B. Very interesting ending too.
Seconded. Not many books are that good that you learn something and laugh at something on every page. All underpinned by a good socialist principle. Shock Doctrine is brilliant Redstar, but it might make him a bit too angry for a holiday read.
Probably get both. I'll be in Greece so that should be a laugh reading about the Free Market f.cking screwing people.
The miracle of castel di sangro One of the most incredible books I've ever read, footy related or otherwise.
Re: The miracle of castel di sangro God knows how the author didn't get lamped by the manager. Interesting ending though, considering the current state of affairs in Italian football.
