We've apparently signed 22yo keeper Ross Turnbull on loan for a year from Middlesborough. Understand he's played for you. Is that right and what's he like. Not sure where he'd figure for us tbh
Doesn't inspire me tbh, was expecting better. Don't even know if he's come as our 1st choice, although I'm guessing that's the case.
I must admit, I had forgotten him. I do remember rating him though, not a bad keeper at all by my recollection. Unless my mind is playing tricks he wasn't with us for too long, so I can't remember any detail as to his strengths and weaknesses, but as a squad addition for next year he'll definitely do the job.
top, top keeper. Really is excellent. Great shot stopper and commanded his box brilliantly for us and he was only 19. He played against bolton for boro at the end of the 05/06 season, it was on the box, he got rave reviews for having such a blinder. we could a lot worse than him
Kindly broke his thumb , otherwise Scott Flinder would have been binned and we wouldnt have got 250K off Palace.
Strengths and weaknesses We had him on loan twice IIRC Firs time: Strengths: Eating pies Weaknesses: Catching footballs Second time: Strengths: Stopping shots, catching crosses, commanding his area Weaknesses: Communication - slightly prone to coming off his line without warning his defenders But generally a competent keeper second time out and has much more 1st team experience now.
You could do a lot worse Looked quite promising a couple of years ago when with us on loan Dont think there would be many complaints from our fans if we had signed him - I think he will be a proper premiership keeper soon
Very white undercrackers and nicely shaped rear when made to change his shorts on the pitch by the ref in 1 game. No wonder he had rosy cheeks... his blush illuminated Oakwell for at least 15mins
