I'd much rather a player gets involved and makes mistakes than hides for an entire 45 minutes. We had a one man midfield.

    His confidence looks completely shot.

He may be a local lad but he's not good enough. Way out of his depth. He'd loon lost at Stocksbridge

    The lads confidence went.

What pissed me off was after a promising first 20 minutes where he got stuck in a few times & broke well on a couple of occasions he then received a pass from Scowen that should've never been played & mis controlled. Now don't get me wrong Digby was partly at fault but no more than Scowen & Roberts' awful attempt at defending against the striker breaking forward was even worse than what Scowen & Digby did so presumably they'd get just as much stick but no everyone around me were straight on Digby's case.

There's a real hatred for the kid & it's just weird. I keep expecting to find out he's a kiddy fiddler or a rapist with how people turn on him so easily.

And then you get Wabara, Mawson & Winnall who've been dreadful for weeks & no one says a word

I'm a big fan of Scowen but that really disappointed me. He should've held his hands up & apologised. Trying to shift the blame was poor

He usually plays quite well, but it's nailed on he costs us a goal. What you hope is that he cuts out those mistakes. Today he did his usual thing and cost us a goal, but was completely absent for the rest of the game.

I really don't want to get on at a young lad, but that performance wasn't anywhere near what is required from someone who gets paid to play the game. It was miles off.

He's got nobody to guide him or pick him up when his teammate has just unloaded a volley of abuse at him ( just like the rest of them havent) And that is one of the biggest problems on the pitch at the moment.

Off the pitch the problems lie much higher

I don't agree with that. He made a mistake in a bad area but he didn't cost us the goal. Roberts attempts at defending were far worse. Big Jean type defending that cost us the goal.

But saying that the reason Roberts is currently so poor is that the manager saw fit to shatter his confidence by dropping him when he was in the form of his life

Probaby because he was having to do the work that Digby should have done up to the goal, because let's face it he hardly imposed himself before then did he. Six foot odd is he and he can't impose himself on a game at this level. Not for me thanks, he should be showing more nouse than he did today ...

There are problems all over, I agree. But, unfortunately, Digby isn't the answer to any of them.

Before the goal Digby put some brilliant tackles in

Stop passing the ball to their player who them goes on to score isn't making a mistake, it's someone else's fault for being out of position as he didn't expect the player being given the ball by a team mate and going straight thru on goal? ??????

Have to agree to disagree. I personally think that both Digby and Roberts, and a number of other players, are massively overrated.

That's not true. Digby did well & put in plenty of tackles before the Fleetwood goal.

After he was terrible & clearly had no confidence but to say Scowen was doing Digby's job before that goal is plain wrong

Now that I'll agree with. He isn't the problem but he certainly isn't the answer either. To be honest without huge changes at the top I honestly don't know what the answer is or whether there even is one. One thing I do know is that changing the manager might have see improvement short term but it certainly won't change our fortunes in the long run
