looking through last night'd posts I think it's time for the return of the swear filter. I'm not a parent but I wouldn't like to think of my young nephews reading some of the language that was posted last night.
No doubt people will say that kids hear (and use) worse in the playground and that at least the language wasn't used in an insulting way, but in my opinion all it is going to do is reinforce the misguided image that a lot of the country has about football fans, and what local footy fans think about tarn fans, unintelligent, ineloquent and offensive.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the return of the swear filter as it's always been there. It's not the best filter admitted, and words do get through it occasionally. However, there is one in place.
RE: Before you start getting clever and changing it... Not sure if you're talking to me or Cazi there, neither signature has post watershed language in it.
Cazi, read down, multiple examples of 4 letter words containing the letter "u". I'm no puritan but I am concerned about the image it portrays about Barnsley fans.

I can agree with you to a certain extent - but if you were really sincere .. then you would replace your avatar with something else.
There are times when an "E" is every bit as unacceptable as a "U".
Particularly when young nephews are around.
