Not as bad as the following 70 mins We still did not score tho` ! We give possession away to easily and we have the slowest back line in this league. But its not Daveys fault, its the fans fault for being too optimistic and hoping that we will improve.
Not sure why I am bothering but we have played 2 games - we played really well at QPR and were robbed by some bizarre refereeing and bad luck Today we were completely on top playing excellent football and really unlucky not to be a couple of goals up before they scored a freak goal Biggest concern is the defence - if we keep conceeding 2 goals per game we will struggle - but we wont keep having such bad luck at both ends. Not claiming Davey doesnt make mistakes - he made several today - and I have no idea what he said at Half time - looks like he sang em a lullaby but I dont see Davey has done badly enough for dismissal. Also I dont know where we would get anyone better from Question for you Barry - how can you demand a manager sacking when you havent even been to a game this season
I think that sums up my view as well I also have waited until today to comment as this is the first game I've been to.
mine too because of that Northern Sea I haven´t seen any of the games either, but it is early days Very thankful we´re not hiring & firing managers twice a season anymore, that´s what caused the great downfall - and also a lot of people obviously need a reality check. Staying up the last two seasons - on very limited budgets - has been major achievements.
RE: Not sure why I am bothering but saw a few of the pre season debacles...and tend to listen to the summarisers on the Barnsley world...add to this the "cross the board" comments and I think my take is a good one...Simon Davey is destroying us.
sorry mate but pre season means nowt.... and if you are relying on Barnsley world .. well enough said.
I'm not having a go at you as I know that every home game would probably mean a 300 mile round trip it's just that you seem to be the most negative, vitriolic and voiciforous poster when you don't have the evidence of your own eyes. Second half was poor though.

you do not see it do you since last christmas the man has been abysmal..... and nothing seems to have changed
No matter how bad things get... ....Bazzer the Dragon puts a smile on my face. Keep posting mate, I'm wetting myself here, a real pick me up.

But thats because you have very high expectations of where we should be. If you think we should be pushing for promotion then he's abysmal. If you think we're doing well stopping in this competitive league then he is doing well
We have improved since last season Last Season lost 4-1 at home to Coventry and were abysmal - today we lost 2-1 and were unlucky not to get at least a point Last season we lost 2-0 to QPR and were lucky it wasnt much worse - this season we lost 2-1 and were robbed by the referee Both games we were much better than we were last year
played 3 competetive games lost 3 scored 2 conceded 6... a definate improvement then your logic baffles me
Your logic is more bizarre Please explain how scoring twice as many goals and conceding 2 fewer to the identical matches last season is not an improvement
