Something that i find VERY odd about that comment

Shuker was told he wasnt wanted anymore by the CHAIRMAN then the CHAIRMAN suggests shuker's replacement and we sign him.

Now in hindsight that has been a very good move but it's not exactly giving the manager a chance to pick his own squad is it.

I've been saying for a while

that Ritchie's comments are totally inconsistent, and it would appear his behaviour towards signings is the same. if we've had players like Kazim Richards, Ritchie Jones etc lined up that AR has agreed to then at the last minute he's changed his mind, what kind of opinion do you think that forms in other Chairmen's minds? If Ritchie didnt want them, he couldve said so up front. If he had alternative targets in mind, he should be mentioning them.

We've given the current squad a chance. They're not good enough to keep us up, but it seems to me that the manager isnt doing anything about it. Apart from taking players on trial that no one else at the club knows anything about. Bizarre at best. Disruptive and destructive if you ask me.

    How times change.

Strange what a phone call & a cup of tea can do.

Are you going to keep swinging from one side to the other?
What happens if your mobile rings & it's Andy wanting a chat?

I think they're both at fault big time.
Ritchie has stuck witht he players too long.
Gord can't sort out what's going on - so resorts to Radio tittle-tattle.

All in all - it's a pile of crap.
But at least you know which side your bread's now buttered on.

all players who AR wanted yet we didn't get, it is much easier to get players in who are offered to us rather than having to pursuade clubs to part with the players!!!

as for Kaziem Richard i am led to believe that he would have taken up a huge percentage of the budget and would have been a gamble which we could not afford, to Sheff u it is small change to us it is a lot of money for a player who was not actually proven at the time as many of the moaners on here said!!!

    in your phonecall with GS

did he go into much detail about Kazim-Richards?

Did he say whether any more money would be available for other players if Ritchie had decided to spend 150k on him?
