As most know I have a knee that constantly jerks with not a lot of effort. Yesterday at 2-0 I was convinced our first win was on the way and that we would score more, then they got one back . At that moment I had a gut feeling we would not win, I was even worried we would not get even a point. I will not bang on too much as I usually do , which may surprise some, but I am now looking to a season of struggle. That could be avoided with just 2 maybe 3 signings/loans. Striker being one.. and a seriously strong defensive leader.
All I'll say is that at Blackpool we never looked like conceding. For 60+ minutes we were utterly dominant. Don't know where you got those feelings from - sixth sense? Keep the faith. We aren't far off, and I have no doubt there will be players coming in. Also, I think a player like Jennings will give us a totally different option.
Hopefully, next Saturday We'll have both Nyatanga & Jennings available for selection. There's also the possibility we may have signed another striker. Etuhu and Digby will also have had another week's training under their belt, giving the manager more options.
Re: Hopefully, next Saturday Need Nyatanga in as the left of the 3 instead of Kennedy, looked really good pre season
Re: Hopefully, next Saturday I liked the look of him, mate and I think he'll bring a physical presence to the centre of defence, whilst at the same time keeping a natural balance.
Re: Hopefully, next Saturday I bet you wish you'd kept clear all day!! I'm off to see the U21s tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see who turns out for us.
Really hope Perkins isn't seriously injured too as thought he was playing well before he went off. I know some on here think he's not the force he was last season, but he seems to be central to most good things we do...
