IMHO the best football we've ever played was using that system when Danny Wilson took us to the Premiership. It worked extremely well in some games last season too. It won't always work, but it's a good option to have. We didn't play 3-5-2 tonight, we played 5-3-2. O'Brien and Golbourne were fullbacks not wing backs. And Mellis didn't play in the hole behind the strikers, like the position he played last season or like Bullock and Marcelle played so well, we played a flat three in midfield. 5-3-2 is a stinker of a system which invariably results in you being tonked. If that's how we're going to play it, can we please abandon it now?
