we have to go out and have a good go at them. their confidence will be shot to bits after the reading game.
I'm not worried at all I'm absolutely positive they'll beat us and it isn't giving me a seconds worry.
and herein lies the problem, from the manager and players to the fans. every team is beatable, we need to go into games positive instead of trying for 0-0 draws. that's why there's apathy from the fans, and yes i blame hill. what he did at coventry is coming back to bite him on the arse. let's fecking go out and hav a go at them, won't hold my breath though.
I thought Burnley was bad as well but I think we would all take a draw on Friday. All I ask is to defend well and attack when there is the opportunity. I dont think West Ham are as fluid or have a settled a team as Reading or Southampton and in the frenzy of a cup tie atmosphere West Ham will feel the pressure too if we can frustrate them.
West ham are excellent away from home but are beatable. Both centre halfs are a weak spot exploited by reading. Very strong up front though....
After the Reading game there will be a backlash from West Ham............ ......if we are not strong in defence then a result of this backlash could be a scoreline of ............ ..............Barnsley 0 - 7 West Ham To add to the worry............how do we usually perform when we are on the tele ???
We seem to give the top teams a game I'll be happy if we give a performance like we did against Peterborough. Pressure's on them really, reckon we might sneak a win, although i'd like to see us start with EITHER Gray or Davies (preferably Davies), rather than both, two very similar players, would even be tempted to give Rose a game, however all eyes will be on him if he performs.
Which top teams do we do well against? We beat Reading, but they weren't doing well at the time. Everyone else up there has dicked us.
Re: Which top teams do we do well against? We deserved to beat Birmingham away and there wasn't much in it when we played at Upton Park. Southampton and Blackpool looked streets ahead of us.
I think we always worry about the opposition, the money they have available to spend on players, those players with Premiership experience on their books and the past history of our opponents.
Read the West Ham forums, and the hate for Fat Sam is staggering. They also hate Kevin Nolan. They think Sam Baldock and Nicky Maynard are gash, and of course they now see 'our' Ricardo as the main man. They have given up hope of automatic, and there is talk of Fat Sam Out if we turn em over. . So I pray that KK sets us up to football em to death, start quickly, get at the ******* and get Oakwell behind em ala Peterbro. Get their fans either on at their players/manager, or silent. This West Ham side arent the mobile, fluent team that Brum, Blackpool and Reading were, and those are the sides we struggle against. I dont reckon much to our chances, but all I ask is for us to play OUR game, and try to win
Re: Which top teams do we do well against? Played well against Birmingham, by all accounts we gave Middlesbrough and Southampton a decent first half. Leicester.
