they're basing that on the made up sh*t from the Chronicle, there's no way anyone at the Chron would know the ins and outs of the Stones transfer deal. It might have been unlikely to have an England clause (I mean who seriously thought he'd be involved so soon?), but the Chronicle certainly wouldn't have a clue whether that was the case or not. Maybe if the Chron didn't insult our intelligence with these vague supposed sources people would take them more seriously, at least when the bigger papers write bullsh*t it's done in such a way that makes it semi-believable. I'm still quite offended that they thought anyone would believe that takeover story (story being the operative word for that particular work of fiction) and then tried to defend themselves a week later.
He's only said the club are bound by a confidentiality agreement. I don't think such a clause exists either, but I wouldn't publish these thoughts as fact in a local newspaper. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
It's just regurgitated BS. Tykesmad have a habit of using articles from the Chron to fill space on a Web page, that's all this is. The only people that know if there is an international clause in the deal are the ones that made it and Ben Mansford with him being chief negotiator now. But it would have been silly to leave it out with him representing England at 3 different levels
If they mentioned their source so outed that person as someone passing on sensitive information, they would lose future stories from that person so it makes sense to be vague.
