But fooken hell ... Davis today was shocking; I made a note of every time we retained possession when he received the ball. Five times, FIVE, was all through the whole match. Every other time the ball hit him it went straight to a Brighton player.

I know he can hit a ball and I know he's the closest thing we have to a striker at the moment but seriously from the point of view of what he brings to a team he is awful. He's a 90 minute passenger in the hope that at some point or another he gets a shot from distance.

Sod fitness training, someone shouhld just ping balls at him 8 hours a day every day until he he can learn to hold the ball up .... drives me mad!!

So I take it by your reply you are completely happy with what he offers to the team?

Your opinion and of course you are entitled to it, but for me he is a passenger and puts a lot of pressure on the team by losing the ball (consistently and repeatedly) in area's where he really ought to be retaining it.

If you're okay with that as long as he hits a few 20 yard screamers fine, but I think he causes immeasurable damage to us by "trapping" a ball further than I kick it.

He needs service in the right areas, we all know his strengths but so do the opposition. Potentially the front two yesterday could form a decent partnership but they need the qualitiy around them.

Of course he can improve but Davies is a key player

Has physical presence technically can improve but I thought he did ok yesterday and we edged the game. Miss of season at end but despite large travelling support Brighton were diappointing IMO and could easily have been playing with 10 men.

what a joker you really are davies was out first half of the season then he comes in to the team and scores 11 goals with some good players around him then 1 by 1 they get injured or sold.
Then he has to cover on the wing because you didnt have cover in the team. Your defenders and midfield have let you down give the lad a break your only as good as the **** your given to work with sherlock.
Trust me if hill dont buy some players in the summer that can feed upfront your going to go down.
