    we are half way through the time from Schopp going and the Fulham game. Not a lot of time to get the squad fit again and learn a winning system.

    3 weeks to appoint Ismael last season when Struber "left".

    6 weeks to appoint Struber when Stendel was sacked in 2019.

    Schopp was sacked 9 days ago.

    Doesn’t leave much time for any potential incoming coach to work with the squad during the break. I mean, it’s not like he’ll have his work cut out or anything like that.

    They will wait till just after Xmas. The reason being is that most couples break up after Xmas so therefore there will be some coaches who will split up from their wives and will be desperate to move somewhere else just to get away from the ex Mrs. They will thus be more willing to come to Barnsley for reduced fees therefore saving BFCs owners some money. They're not stupid the 80% mob.

    I guess the work-permit issues will make it more difficult at the moment.

    They’ve got to want the guy, then be sure he can get a permit, then be sure the permit can be given in time.

    And then if they want to bring their own coaches, that’s even more of a mine-field.

    Maybe they are prepared to wait for the right candidate or will just go for a UK candidate for ease?

    If an overseas candidate will not be available for a number of weeks, because of issues similar to Iseka and Oulare's visas, or they cannot bring any of their own staff, then they are not the right candidate.
