It makes me realise I'm not as much of a lovely person as I thought I was.

    A few things:

We were **** for almost all of August. Since then we've got a brand new midfield and fowk are still expecting us to be as good as were in October/November? Give over. Hill's had to start again completely.

Anyone that says we didn't show desire or fight last night is mental. Remember specifically about 5 minutes where our lads didn't stop running and harrying Brum and the crowd responded. Davies typified it.

Seemed quite obvious after reading Rochdale comments that this would happen - Hill's already planning for next year. Which is why Dagnall and Digby got 90 minutes, Golbourne getting more game time etc. Same goes for Wiseman - he'll be first choice right back next year, he needs this year to get up to speed.

We're so far behind most other clubs in this division that we've got to do things differently - Hill's almost giving his players an extra 15 games to prepare for next year, get used to playing together and ease the lads from the lower leagues into next year.

Chill out. If you want 'ambition' (IE spending loads of money) you're not going to get it here. But you are going to get a squad of laikers who work their ballacks off and will punch above their weight.

    Ureds.

Perkins, Butterfield, Drinkwater, Vaz Te, O'Brien - the engine room of what drove us on this season - as a unit that has been decimated, it would take a club with a mahoosive budget to build that again and for results and performances not to suffer.

    Drinkwater - £1 million
    Vaz Te - 500k
    Butterfield - £1.5 million

At least £3 million of quality ripped out of a side full of graft and hard work. Challenge any one to say how Keef and Dave could do any better right now.

    They just should.

Lack of perspective in certain quarters.

Hopefully we can build next season on players that will stop here at least in the medium term to give some stability to what the management team are trying to achieve. Looking forward to them plucking another journeyman going nowhere who has been written off and turning him into a prized asset - and getting stick for doing so....

You'd think folk would be excited; we've got a squad of young, hungry, energetic players who are still learning the game but are learning it quickly. That game against 'Boro, almost everyone wrote off Perkins, McNulty, Wiseman and others off as "not good enough" and now they're firmly getting themselves settled in. I'm already looking forward to seeing this team as a proper unit next season. No pleasing some.

Also, one of the 'B's in 'BBS' must stand for 'Bipolar'

I agree, we are sat comfortable in mid-table wen all the pundts expected us to be relegated. Am sure wen Keef is satisfied that we completley safe then there will be more than Digby from the academy getting a run out. I said on here yesterday that Digby would do well. He was in the top3 best players yesterday. Mark my words we will see John Stones, Danny Rose, Jordan Clarke and possibly Sam Patterson before the end of the season. If they are gud enuff then give them a run. Better to have a team of home grown energetic young inexperienced players about the first team squad than Donnyiesk seasoned campaigners who are just chasing the money. Blend the youth with the experience and the Barnsley faithfull will warm to them.
