    I was quite upset at the time as I'd only just got over selling Tommy Taylor. Then we sold Carl Tiler. After Ashley Ward I just lost it. We had sold four of our best players in 45 years and I couldn't stand it. That's when I realised what the club's MO was. We are just seeing a continuation of this.

    At least with Tommy Taylor we did receive a British record fee which made it a bit more palatable but still hard to take.

    I think it's payback for when I laughed at Villa fans when we took Pongo Waring off them.
