    And the performance was $hit. No movement, invention, creativity, or ability to hold keep or pass the ball. Rubbish. Not a witch hunt, just my assessment on what I just saw

    An honest assessment & one I'd agree with 100%. The number of times we gave the ball away under no pressure at all was frightening.

    I saw Derby play Boro the other week. They had the same issue with ball retention, lacked movement. I think Boro are quality and we got the result we expected/deserved.

    Onto the next one.

    I've been and I agree; we were very poor in front of the defence today. Far too many passengers who don't seem to care. Time for Danny to ring the changes and get rid of the dead wood.

    Buying, loaning players is always hit n miss no matter who the manager or club is. The key is shipping out quickly the ones that don't work out. But that's why 9 times out of 10 it takes 2or 3 seasons to build a settled squad.

    we also had the same issue against chester fc, and several rank average league 1 teams this season. our ability to concede possession under zero pressure, has little to do with the quality of the opposition, IMO. it's more the ability of our players.

    It was another poor game in a poor season but when professional players can't do the basics on a regular basis you're fighting an uphill battle. Some of those players are letting the club and the fans down.

    I know what you mean but Danny should be securing players who CAN do the basics.

    You can blame players for a lack of effort but you can't blame them for a lack of talent.

    Nobody will convince me that any professional player isn't equipped with the talent to pass to a team mate. That has to be application, surely?

    shocking display that just about sums up the progress (or rather lack of it) so far this year,by which i mean the last twelve months and not just this season.We are gutless and offer nothing whatsoever in front of goal,the only saving grace league-wise is that there are many more round us that are equally *****.

    can I suggest here

    that the quality they have in their squad may have meant they could have had the ability to not allow us to perform much better than we did.
