some on here said at the time......these defenders are not out there
Answer to that........Whineock has just signed Chris Lucketti from Preston on loan
*****How good a signing would that have been for us******

IE.
Old head to lead the youngsters
Steady back 4 - no chopping and changing every week
Releases Kay and Hassell to other positions where they are better equiped
Either Reid or Carbon can be sat on the bench and used as a proper centre half substitute

Releases Kay and Hassell to other positions where they are better equipped?

Like where?

Kay and Hassell are far suited to the centre half position that anywere else on the pitch. As for Reid making a good sub........you are completely off your trot. Why the hell should the club and team captain be resigned to the bench when he does such a good job in his position as centre half?

Okay, he may have had his injuries and may have had to sit out from the starting line up but given everyone else, and assuming that fitness is not an issue, I would have Reid in there from the start.

He's plays for Preston in the Championship and has gone on loan to Sheff Utd in the Championship....so whilst he could well have done a job for us it's unlikely we'd have got him
