i see everyone is excited by constantine signing, well apart from me that is....

i mean, he's another lower league player who as proved nothing at this level. ok he as scored 18 goals for a league 1 team this season but that dont mean he's a good player, and it certainly doesn't mean he will score at this level. he hasn't played a single game above league 1 level i do beleive (correct me if im wrong).</p>

saying that though, i really hope he does great for us and bags us some goals. All im saying is that he is not the PROVEN goalscorer at this level that we need.</p>

also, its a real shame about Richards leaving, he was a good player for us.</p>

 

Geoff Horsfield's proven at this level though. And he's crap now.

We're not a club big enough to get someone whos young enough AND proven at this level. Not gonna happen. So we have to take people who are past it, or people who might be able to make the step up - some do (Howard, Hassell), and some don't (Richards, Heckingbottom)

One thing we know

is that Marc Richards played for us in league 1 last season, we created loads of chances, but he struggled to score goals

Leon Constantine is playing in the same division, for a mediocre side, and scores on a regualr basis (around a goal every other game)

i think that says it all. most likely a better ratio than any of our current strikers, i feel constantine will prove that he is capable of playing at this level and will put away most of his chances

agree, he is the best sort of signing we can hope for. he's (hopefully) not on his way down and seems to fit the bill. face it, he'd got that record in our league warnock would have added him to his collection
