I've only ever see him play in midfield, thought he was a striker? Give the lad a chance to play in his proper position.

On the occasions I've seen him, and I admit it's not many, he is poor

I thought it was Berry or Hourihane. I can't keep up can we just agree on one and get on with i?

I have to agree. Hemming's is out of his depth, looks unfit, and is very poor. Did absolutely nothing today. However, as it stands not many alternatives for Danny up front. Although I would rather have a hungry Reece Oates than a lazy, couldn't give a toss approach from Hemmings!!

Is Oates any good as a wing back?

I was more than puzzled with Danny's thinking with Hemmings today. He is a striker (as is said above) but has been played as a striker once, maybe twice. Danny brings on young Oates for the midfielder Hemmings today and immediately switches the ineffective striker (Hourihane - a midfielder) into midfield to enable a striker to play up front.
I'm a Danny fan but his tactics are puzzling.

I'm 50/50 with the lad, he's come from PT L2 Scottish footy. I'm not really impressed tbh. He's notched a few good goals. Let's see. These are the type of players we need to develop.

He's not a scapegoat. He's just toss. As I said when we signed him.

Pointing out the fact that a player is not up to it does not make him a scapegoat.

Not having a go mate, genuine question, How did you know he was toss when we first signed him?

I am going to continue supporting him. He's not been great, but there are mitigating circumstances I feel.

We've good players here. It's getting the best XI fit and on the field together, regularly that's been the issue.

    We'll get there. In time.

    He's not "Toss" anyway.

Watch Whitey's recent compilation and you will see his contributions.

He is average for this league - as are Berry Bailey (and for 2 months) Hourihane.

Unless we get an impetus from the January window, prepare for a relegation scrap.

Agree. Danny took over not just a poor team but a poor squad. He's rebuilding it and that hadn't clicked straight away. But it will.

With Danny identifying positions, Mansford getting the wanted players through the door, and Cryne putting his hand in his pocket. It won't happen overnight.

But give it a year or so and we'll have cleared away all the dross from the last few awful years and will start to see this young and hungry squad delivering on their promise. If we get anywhere near playoffs (which I think we might if the signings I've heard mentioned come off) then all the better.

Because he came from the Scottish championship. It's like signing someone from the Unibond premier.

Like Jamie Vardy or you can get amazing ex PL players like Frimpong and Proschwitz.

I'm not prepared to pass judgement on Hemmings until he gets a run of games as a striker.
