I see Shearer took advantage of beeb not having England game

was stood next to him at bar in Living Room last night in downtown Newcastle, he was out with Steve Harper and a couple of birds.I ordered my beers first but somehow big Al got his drinks before me!! Footballers hey? He can't dress though, white shirt with shiny black waistcoat, all that cash and no style, actually he didn't look that bad.Not as tall as one would imagine

He didn't have any minders with him, hope the desperate Geordie public didn't catch a glimpse when he left coz they would have held him down until he agreed to be manager ha ha

He's a nice bloke...

...i dropped on him a few years ago, I was a bit drunk at the time so walked straight up and started talking to him and he did actually give me the time of day, was talking to him for about ten minutes, very nice bloke

It's funny you mention his size cos I'm by no means a big lad but he seemed fairly slight even compared to me

 

I met him when I went to watch Newcastle play Liverpool a few years ago on a Sunday. Always amazed at how small he is. Saw him at the David Hirst Testimonial and when we played them at Oakwell. He's very amicable. signs all the autographs, but yes, you are correct he is very slight but looks immense on the pitch.
