I see Sodje is being slated before he's even kicked a ball.... could prove to be a gem!

Can't we just give the lad a chance....... The lower leagues have produced some excellent players over recent years. Two that immediately come to mind are Nicky Bailey (now of charlton) and Michael Kightly.....

Exactly, we got nothing to lose. We'll have paid peanuts for him and he'll be on peanuts. I dont think he'll be straight into the first team.

thats the problem though isn't it?

If he isn't going to play in the first team then what exactly have we signed him for? We've pulled out of the reserve league.

We are not in a reserve league no but we will be playing games behind closed doors most weeks Davey said when it was announced. Guess it must be cheaper because they can play whenever club wants and not have to have any staff on.

Norwich ditched the reserve league too

cost them a lot more to keep paying other clubs to send a squad to play against. They realised just what a **** idea it was and are going back into the reserve league for the coming season.

When you put it like that we are lucky to have him, i cant wait to see him and OJ up front next season, and lets hope we are lucky enough to sign a few more nuggets from the football factory of York.

RE: And not forgetting Mr B Dyer

He played 4 matches for York in January before ending his career with a back injury.

Interesting to look at that. Cresswell played 111 games scoring just 29 goals...but he's had a pretty decent career since. Parkin only scored 13 in 69 too

Easy to judge players on stats alone without having seen much of them play. You'd look at those stats for Cresswell and most would say steer well clear, but he's been in the dop divisions for a while now even if he hasn't been that prolific, likewise with Parkin, 13 in 69 isn't breathtaking, but he's a handful.

Give him a chance, and let's just see what happens.

Watched him a York and the stats should be ignored as he played in a very poor team. Management got the sack and they nearly went out of the conference due to all kinds of problems on and off the field. Deserves a chance and as previously stated we have paid ery little and therefor have nothing to lose. We may make good money just like Muller.
