He has about 85 thousand reason why he is fighting it he should have gone first day and never be employed again within the public sector. but that is only my own opinion.

I completely agree, he should be sacked but the law protects him so he'll probably carry on regardless until his tenure comes to an end when the electorate will have the opportunity to send him where he belongs.

We can thank the Tories for that, and in particular Cameron and May.They just wouldn't listen to the concerns raised.

I'm amazed, actually I'm not because it was sadly so predictable, that somebody would blame the Tories for this.

The Tory party were warned about these posts and still they specifically designed them so you couldn't sack them once in place. This is very embarrassing for Cameron and May and will probably be forced to backtrack and put in legislation to get him out.the Scottish Referendum has shielded this so far but the **** will hit the fan.
Piss up and Brewery spring to mind.

The same Scottish Referendum where Cameron and Osborne refused to offer devo-max as an option, the markets in turmoil because of the uncertainty they've created as a result. Flogging off the Royal Mail far too cheaply. The worst Government in living memory and I'm in my 7th decade.

TBF What you have to take into account is its the worse opposition set of MP's in Living memory too, and no sign of improvement in any direction too.

Thats because its an elected position and its actually quite a bad idea to allow elected persons to be sacked mid term if they havent committed any criminal offence. As always there is an exception and Shaun Wright is one

Whether elected police commisioners are a good idea in the first place is a whole different debate but to sack an elected person because they totally failed in a previous job is a bit tricky. I can guarantee Rotherham has the best turnout in the country in next election for Police commissioner though especially if he has the brass neck to stand again

How many of those turning out will have pitchforks and flaming torches ready for a lynching... (and how many others would blame them!)

I'm all for councillors, council officials and elected persons being held accountable but find it bizarre once again that South Yorkshires finest seem to be swerving responsibility...

I feel sorry for the people of Rotherham.

Not only have they this scandal to live with they have I am told 5000 EDL supporters protesting on the Town next Saturday.

Thats what I find bizarre too. Its alright blaming the councillors but is it actually the councillors job to investigate rape and prosecute the offenders? Or to investigate child sex accusations. Surely the buck stops with the police whos job it is to police crime.

I heard a local councillor on the radio saying he hadnt done anything because simply what could he do? The police had told him they were conducting an investigation so what should he have done? Hired a private eye and gone behind their backs?

No its not their job to prosecute but its their job to highlight and badger and report and and inform and protect.and a whole lot of other things they have failed to do which their office requires.

In the meantime, as usual, nobody gives a toss about the parents who perhaps could have actually bothered to take steps to stop the abuse of their own children.

And nobody seems keen to find out who actually abused them.

Let's target those who get paid to mop up the mess that the parents and abusers create instead.

Those individuals who really tried to do something about it but failed rather than burying their heads in the sand to avoid offending people have nothing to worry about but those who fall into the latter category should be sacked and where possible face criminal charges. There should be absolutely no hiding place for these people.
